Divine Expressions Family Dentistry Proud to be Open with COVID-19 Precautions
During these hard times brought by the pandemic dental issues don’t stop or disappear just because patients can’t go to the dentist. The team at Divine Expressions Family Dentistry have reopened their doors to serve the Madison, AL area with professional disinfection measures that are government-approved and state-of-the-art.
Since Divine Expressions closed on March 18th, 2020, they’ve had time to install any necessary additions to keep patients safe from coronavirus. The team apologizes for the inconvenience caused by the pandemic; however, they’ve used this time wisely to create a clean, ideal environment so patients can sit in the dentist’s chair without any worries.
Divine Expressions is happy to announce that they have been open for service since May 11th, 2020. As long as Governor Ivy or the State Board of Dental Examiners do not impose additional quarantine measures, the practice will stay open through the end of the year.
Sterilized For Protection
Top-rated dentist Dr. Laurentis Barnett knows that the coronavirus is a real threat to everyone’s safety, but so are dental issues when left untreated. So for everyone’s safety, they’ve installed many state-of-the-art devices to keep their offices clean and 100% virus-free.
For example, they’ve installed an air purification system with a UV light, so all impurities in the air that might be carrying the virus or any bacteria will be eliminated. Additionally, their air conditioning system cleans the air from the outside through its multi-stage filtration process. While they still require the use of face masks and other personal protective equipment, patients can rest assured that the air inside the offices is clean and germ-free.
To avoid transmission from touching surfaces, they’ve also installed touchless sink faucets in all of their restrooms. Social distancing will still be in effect in all areas of the office, and sanitizing with alcohol and other hand sanitizers is still strongly recommended.
Playing Their Part
Since the team is trying to minimize face-to-face contact as much as possible, the reception area will be closed. Patients can call or text ahead so the team can prepare for patients’ arrival, and only a single patient is allowed in the dentist’s office at all times. They ask that other visitors wait outside or stay at home if possible.
At the door, someone from the team will check each patient’s temperature with an infrared thermometer. If patients don’t have a face mask, the team will provide one, as they require them inside the office at all times. The team will also give patients an anti-viral mouth rinse when they initially sit in the dentist’s chair. Scheduling any future treatments will be done in the same room, as well as processing payments.
At Divine Expressions, Safety is The Primary Concern
The team at Divine Expressions remains committed to the promise of providing heart-felt and virtually painless dental care. The new, modern sanitation equipment is checked around the clock to ensure that a patient’s visit will be as anxiety-free as possible. Best Dentist in Madison, AL, Dr. Barnett Offers Top-Rated Family Dentistry
Good dental health relies on proper dental hygiene. Patients who excel at good dental hygiene have made the practice a habit from early in their life. Children should start to see their family dentist, at the latest, from the time their permanent teeth come in.
Choosing the right family dentist ensures patients that every member of their family gets outstanding dental care.
Dr. Laurentis Barnett from Divine Expressions Family Dentistry provides top-rated family dentistry for the whole family.
What Does a Family Dentist Do?
A family dentist provides general dentistry to people of all ages. Most family dentists start to see children from the age of seven and up. Divine Expressions Family Dentistry offers an innovative Early Start program for children between the ages of four and seven.
What Is the Early Start Program?
The Early Start Program identifies issues such as crooked teeth or crowded growth and sleep-disordered breathing, as the adult teeth start to come in. By identifying these issues early on, they’re simpler to correct.
What Is Sleep-Disordered Breathing?
Sleep-disordered breathing coves a wide variety of breathing issues during sleep. These issues may become problematic if they disturb the child’s overall quality of sleep. In some instances, such as thumb sucking, they may also affect how the child’s teeth grow.
- Mouth breathing
- Thumb sucking
- Bad dreams
- Excessive nighttime sweatiness
- Restless sleeping patterns
- Chronic allergies
- Behavioral issues
- ADD or ADHD
- Sleepiness during the day
These issues are often caused by obstructed airways, teeth grinding, and incorrect tooth placement. Dr. Barnett will provide gentle corrective measures to allow small patients to get a great night’s sleep.
Why Is It Better to Start Adjusting a Child’s Bite Early?
A child usually gets their permanent teeth around the age of seven or eight. Their mouths continue to change until they’re about fourteen. Applying braces or other corrective measures while the mouth is still changing offers the best chance of permanent results.
Other Family Dentistry Services
Family dentistry includes:
- Emergency dentistry
- Restorative dentistry
- Cosmetic procedures
Patients may require:
- Cleaning and descaling
- Fluoride and sealing treatments
- Root canals
- Root canals
- Veneers and Lumineers
- Teeth whitening
Divine Expression Family Dentistry Offers State-of-the-Art Treatments
Patients at the practice have the option of these additional services, not all of which are commonly found at family dentists.
Digital X-rays provide a high-resolution image but use 80% less radiation than their counterparts. The digital X-ray is a better diagnostic tool than its conventional counterpart because it was designed to be gentler on patients.
Veneers are a conventional treatment for a whole mouth makeover. Veneers don’t work for those with severely damaged tooth enamel or with a limited budget. The Snap-on Smile product offers an affordable, less permanent alternative.
The process is similar to veneers in that Dr. Barnett creates a new façade for the front of the teeth. This façade clips into place. While veneers are permanent, a Snap-on Smile doesn’t require the filing away of enamel or permanent bonding.

Divine Expressions Dentistry Can Restore Tooth’s Shape and Increase Its Strength
While taking care of your oral hygiene is essential, a trip to the dentist’s office requires more than a regular check-up. In the case of a missing or damaged tooth, one solution to repair it would be a dental crown. A crown is a cover that dentists add over the teeth to restore their original appearance and prevent future damages. The team at Divine Expressions Dentistry are experts at handling dental crowns services.
Whether a new or old patient, the friendly team provides vital information, helping patients understand the different types of dental crowns and which one is the best fit for them.
Dental Crowns Specialists Committed to Excellence
The process of getting a dental crown at Divine Expressions Dentistry is simple. Two visits to the dentist’s office are enough for the doctor to attach a tooth crown. During the first visit, a dental specialist will take an impression of the patient’s teeth and then create a custom crown shape. While waiting for the permanent crown, the dentist attaches a temporary model to protect the patient’s teeth. During the second visit, the dentist will attach the custom-made, permanent crown. The result is a new, natural-looking tooth.
To ensure successful implementation, the team at Divine Expressions Dentistry offers a follow-up appointment. The dentist confirms the favorable outcome and provides patients with helpful tips to prolong the life of the dental crown.
Dental crowns are a simple way to restore teeth’s shape and regain a healthy and beautiful smile. Even if the patient has severely decayed or damaged teeth, it is possible to improve the aesthetics and function. Crowns are an effective and affordable way to improve oral health.
Long-Lasting Dental Crowns and Their Uses
Dental crowns are routine procedures at Divine Expressions Dentistry. In a successful procedure, the dentist adds the crown into place, ensuring full protection of the teeth. Crowns are necessary for cracked or weak teeth, badly shaped teeth, missing teeth, or dental implants.
At Divine Expressions Dentistry, patients can expect high-quality and long-lasting dental crowns, suitable for everyday use. Dental crowns last between 15 to 25 years (the lifespan depends on the material and patient’s dental habits). To prolong the life of the dental crown, the dentists at Divine Expressions Dentistry suggest patients avoid hard foods, brush teeth, and take proper care. “You should eat soft foods for the first days after having your dental crown placed. After the initial phase, you will be able to eat whatever you want, with no issues,” says Dr. Laurentis Barnett, a dental specialist.
Meet the Professional Team
Divine Expressions Dentistry offers a consultation to discuss patients’ concerns about their dental crowns. During the consultation, patients will learn about the procedure and what they can expect after its completion.
Whether patients want to regain a natural and beautiful smile or restore teeth’s shape, the friendly team at Divine Expressions Dentistry will guide you through the procedure. The experts can discuss different options with patients to help them decide what solution works best for their lifestyle.
